I bought my first Coyote based 2014 Mustang a couple of months ago. it's an amazing machine. Out of the box, I don't feel like I need to do anything to it... I can idle out of the neighborhood without pissing off my neighbors, and then go screaming down the main drag like a madman if I want...<br><br>And I drive a LOT, doing a 400 mile round trip twice a month, thing gets 22-25 on the highway with me driving like a douchebag.. I'm amazed at what a pleasure it is to drive...

Recently bought a used 2012 mustang GT convertible with a gen 1 Coyote engine! Wow! That engine is amazing! I absolutely love it! Ford done good with this one! When you put your foot in it it goes completely bonkers! Hard to believe this is a 302 cu in engine! And smooth! I’ve even been able to get up to 26 mpg when just cruising at 70mph. Amazing!

I purchased a 2011 GT with 120,000 miles on it back in 2017. I added a 90 mm throttle body, a BOSS intake and Summit Racing CCA-191710 Thumpr NSR Cams. The street / track tune provided by Palm Beach Dyno. No other engine mods were made. It's my daily driver and regularly hits 7000 RPM and occasionally bumps 8000 RPM since the tune does not have a rev limit! The engine pulls hard at high RPM making it easy to exceed 7000+ and not realize it! I have over 140,000 miles on it now.<br>Ford defiantly hit a home run with the Coyote !<br>Regards...

The 302 and 351 Windsor pushrod V-8s worked just fine for years in Mustangs. So did the 351 Cleveland and 390 and 428 big blocks.🙂👍🛠

I have a gen 4 coyote, present in the 2024+ Generation, theres not a day I dont have a blast driving it,

2015 Mustang GT Prem, Performance Pack 435 HP owner here and yes they are amazing engines. We owned a 1970 Cyclone Spoiler 429 CJ some what converted to a super CJ and it couldn't hold a candle to the Mustang. Driving back and forth from where we are to my mother's house across Detroit I'd often get 21-22 mpg when I'd fill up. An amazing engine even if it is a bit lower in displacement than some of it rivals. I drive my little 2018 Focus ST more often now at the age of 76, 252 HP, 270 ft lbs of torque, it's enough for me but I wish it didn't ride so rough.

In truth, the 3-valve version of the 4.6 'modular motor' had been refined well into the Law of Diminishing Returns. <br>A new platform was necessary, and the resurrection of the legendary 5.0 badge was marketing genius.
