Why Chevrolet and Ford Engines Became So Different

  We moved to McCanna in 76 and Donna Solseng was our sitter. Through the years, Brent and I have debated Chevy VS Ford. I did not plan my story to mark our 50 year friendship; it just happened. <br>I sent Brent a text telling him he had to hear my this story. <br>Brent called one afternoon and I commented on how easy the 350 is to build. He said “Yes, it takes 2 wrenches.” <br>I reminded him of when our friend Rob Steffen’s parents died within a month of each other and I moved in to help him and his younger brother out domestically because I was raised cooking and cleaning and most kids were helpless. Their house was on Barrett? on the Western edge of town, the same street as Borensen’s house. I recall many of Tom’s parties where Jeff Lebrick and I would talk. Once he commented that he had forgotten how I had the balance to stand and walk. I was in a wheelchair for a month and a half and hated it. While there, Rob rolled his 68 shotbox; I removed the wrecked sheet metal and we looked at the bare frame. It was then that I told Rob if he doesn’t want to continue with that old 6 cylinder I would build him a 350, actually 355 as I saw no reason not to give a block a .30 overbore. <br>Then I mentioned how difficult and time consuming I found the build as I could only use my right hand. Brent asked why I could only use one hand and I told him that my left hand was dedicated to pinching my true blue oval nose closed against that Chevy stank. <br>Brent laughed and said he could see Sr. telling that story in the middle of Frosty’s shop and that I had to call his dad and tell him. Frosty chuckled and told me he would have to teach me to build one some day.

  I&apos;m going through that block differential issue with my 79 F-350. It&apos;s a 400 m. My Camaro on the other hand....😂

  Wrong. A 327 is not a stroked 283.
