9 out of 10 times, "I'm not ready for a relationship" translates to: I'm not ready for a relationship with YOU. Not today, not tomorrow, and not in the future. In most cases they say it to let people down gently.

What broke my 1 year limerence was confrontational truth. I finally got the other person to confirm they were NOT interested in me, and that's what pulled me out of the limerence loop faster than any other technique.

My limerance experience ended with a very strange outcome. When I realized nothing was gonna happen after seven months, I pulled my energy back. Stopped looking at them, stopped flirting with them. This person actually became angry and started playing the same games that began the whole freaking Limerence trick anyway i.e. thirst testing. When they realized it wouldn’t work anymore, I got the evil eye. I knew then and there that I had dodged a bullet.

what breaks the spell is knowing that there is a name for it. I knew i wasn't in love with this person so I'm glad i wasn't insane. Just some childhood trauma like any regular person.
