I am almost 62 and started power lift 7 months ago. I start with vital protein in my coffee the a shake after workout with 40 grams. I’m very strong with leg press at 515 pounds, hoist pull down@145, single arm pull at 100 and low single arm pull at 90 pounds and belt squat @ 315.. I feel I hit protein goals, yet haven’t seen fat loss yet. Sticking with it. I’m sure it’s coming.

I do applesauce, toast with honey, banana, or English muffin with honey. Sometimes just honey with a sprinkle of Celtic salt

I wonder if the people that disagreed with you online that there is no window of opportunity were men! I used to exercise fasted in my 20's and 30's because I could not force myself to eat at 5AM and I was fine. But now that I am in my early 40's I absolutely cannot. However, I found that even though I ate within that window of opportunity because I hadn't eaten prior the damage was done and I would be EXHAUSTED for the rest of the day. So I started to force myself to have a banana that was usually reserved for my weekend work out. It was your protein coffee that was a game changer for me and it's made the world of difference!!

It was because of Dr Sims that I started taking my protein shake with creatine and collagen on my way out the door (about half an hour before I work out). I was worried I would feel sick during the workout, but I have been pleasantly surprised. I have a piece of toast and poached egg with avocado and tomato afterwards. It has been so beneficial for me. Thank you! ❤

Thank you Dr. Sims. It’s only reliable if a scientist athlete woman who understands research and has done the work herself recommends so.

I’m glad your episode came across my page. I’m 64 women who needs to lose about 15pds and tone up. I’ve always worked out all my life so my body is used to exercising, but I’m older now and been doing HIIT, upper and lower splits Workouts, full body and deep mobility movements. On rest days I do a good walk program…but I’m vegan and trying to figure out my food plan. At this age I know what works in the kitchen but as I age I realize I have to keep tweaking…I usually have an apply and dip it in my PB2 protein powder before workout and then a high protein oat bowl afterwards. Hope to get more information here to help me

Thanks for your awesome work, Dr. Sims! I just watched your debate at Dr. Spencer Nadolsky's channel. I learnt a lot from you again. I also have so much respect and appreciation how you stayed calm in this specific framing of the moderators. The channel of Dr. Spencer Nadolsky unfortunately did not post your links to the research in the description of the video. I asked them to do so, but I think they will not do this, although they promised it at least 4 times during the debate.
