  When I started to conceal carry, I kept the chamber empty for about 3-4 months until I was fully comfortable having a gun on me at all times. I knew this was going to be short lived and it did help me get my mindset right.

  In a few movies the shotgun holder racks the weapon two times in frame never expelling a used cartage. That&apos;s what I find unamusing because the film crew didn&apos;t think the viewers would notice, or it was too costly to reedited the scene.

  The USAF Small Arms group (later called Combat Arms) loaded up several hundred 20 and 30 round M16 magazines with live ammo back in the 1960&apos;s and left them in a Conex storage unit. &nbsp;Every year random mags are pulled out, checked for function in firing, spring tension, and reloaded to be fired again and then stored. &nbsp;Since that experiment (which is still ongoing as far as I know as a Retired USAF Combat Arms Instructor 1980-97) with my last boss being one of the people who ran the testing. &nbsp;Mags still worked, still functioned, and were still usable for reloading and functional later on. &nbsp;It&apos;s the constant loading and unloading of magazines as the spring tensions compress and uncompress that causes issues, along with the mags getting dirty and damaged (dropped, slammed in mag wells, and just general abuse by users). &nbsp;Otherwise loaded mags that are properly cared for and cleaned will last decades loaded.
