  I did zero research other than what we tried out at the range. &nbsp;That’s not the way to buy a weapon. &nbsp;I wanted something my little old granny wife could comfortably shoot. &nbsp;She shot several pistols and handled so many the order taker (they never try to sell anything g) at the Bass Pro counter teased her. &nbsp;“Ma’am, you’re not buying shoes.”<br><br>She settled on the Beretta M9 in .22 caliber. &nbsp;At ten yards, she can put all fifteen, or is it seventeen, rounds into a five inch group. &nbsp; Our next was the M9. She’d good with it too. &nbsp; <br><br>We’ve shot thousands of rounds through both with zero issues.

  I am a retired military firearms instructor, range master and armorer. I&apos;ve worked on countless M9s. They had a lot of problems. From personal experience, I would never own one. I was very lucky and didn&apos;t have to carry one until Oct of 96. Until then, I kept my 1911A1. We had to keep very accurate round count logs on them. The M9A1 I got &nbsp;(new) lasted 246 rounds before it was rendered unserviceable. I can list many, many cases of the Beretta &nbsp; failing, sometimes &nbsp;catastrophically.

  Iraqvet8888 posted a glock 18 meltdown and over 1250 rounds steady full auto running and not one misfeed. Pulling polymer into the chamber and had to push forward, but not one single misfeed. That sold me to this day.

  So far there are 6 police shootout videos where their duty Glock jammed up . One officer in Wisconsin lost his life because of it

  HK USP 30 is a must for top 5. It&apos;s been through extreme torture tests and fired tens of thousands of rounds without failure

  My beretta 92 has been awesome and no problems. &nbsp;Also my sig collection is great. &nbsp;Just added my first Glocks the 23 and 47 models.
