  #1 reason to not use steel is because your range doesn&apos;t want to deal with separating them from the brass they sell to be recycled.

  To clarify; &nbsp;some ammo from so called boutique mfg is no better than standard factory rounds is a myth. Most so called boutique rounds are used by many police agencies; and they match the FBI standards that many off the shelf ammo dose not.

  Most makers post the sz of the barrel. Industry standard says if no barrel lainth assume 5&quot; barrel!

  I won&apos;t use steel-cased ammo; the one time I did it turned my Security 380 into a jam-o-matic.

  I can’t run the location, my Taurus GTC a friend of mine could run it in his just fine but mine stove pipes every time I use it. It does not like steel case ammo that’s why I use brass ammo. I buy the cheapest stammer I can get and when I’m at the range, I shoot for metal jacket. I have Carrie on my gun right now because I carry my gun practically where I go unless I’m going into a sensitive place or not I have my gun with me. I’ve come close using it a couple times because I’m in a wheelchair device and some jackass tried to run me over. I wanna penetrate the radiator or the engine block or the cat of the windshield. I don’t use Carrie ammo for that. I use small metal jacket.
