  "Gymnasium" in Swedish would be translated to "High School" rather than a place where you do gymnastics

  I am german and I can confirm - the smoking is real. I went to a "Berufsschule", which is a school you have to take when you are learning a job, the smoking area was CROWDED in the breaks!

  Good example how every country is different in Europe. Every country has different school systems, different costs, different everything. England has expensive Ivy League schools, other countries have no private schools, some have uniforms, others not, etc,etc. There is no 'typical European school' ,

  There’s actually a national event in Sweden called Skolmat-SM — it’s basically the Swedish Championship for school meals. Schools from all over the country compete to create nutritious and sustainable menus, and it’s been running since 2013. Shows how seriously we take our school lunches — my cousin was actually one of the winning chefs! 🇸🇪🍽

  Those expensive schools like at the start of the video and also Oxford and Cambridge Universities. They are obviously paying for networking but the education they get is unreal.

  Nowadays smoking is forbidden in German schools in general. But older students often smoke in front of the school building.

  In ancient Greece a Gymnasium was a place of learning and physical training.<br>So when the Renaissance happened a divide happened as areas incorporated Greek and Roman ideas<br>.<br><br>In Western Europe Gymnasium was adopted as a word for physical training.<br>In Central and Northern Europe Gymnasium was adopted as a word for higher learning.

  Smoking now is mostly vaping and not allowed on school property in Netherlands. Its not the same as 30 years ago..

  Whole Swedish society is addressing everyone with first name. Never addressing anyone with Mr or Mrs. Even our prime minister is &quot;Ulf&quot; not Mr. Kristersson.
