  What about the Jamestown resident who returned to England & then sailed on the Mayflower to Plymouth? Stephen Hopkins (my ancestor) was at Jamestown 1609-1611 before sailing on the Mayflower in 1620! I qualify for membership in both the Jamestowne Society & the Mayflower Society.

  Hampton, Va. founded in 1610, Henricus, Va. founded in 1611, Bermuda Hundred, Va. founded in 1613. First Thanksgiving in 1619, Berkeley Plantation, Va.  First Iron production Co. founded in 1619, Falling Creek, Va. (near Richmond) although many were killed in an Indian uprising in 1622.

  My husband's mother is descended from 4 Mayflower passengers.  His father is descended from several Jamestown founders.

  My ancestors were here since the land bridge and colonization.<br>I have some Jamestown kin and Mayflower <br>I&apos;m kin to John Howland and cpt Smith and brewester I believe and I&apos;m also kin to Chief massaoit and the wompanog I also had some kin come in 1660 something to new Haven Connecticut on the ship the Hercules..I know I&apos;m Scotts Irish and Irish and Scottish and native american from my old man &amp; and native and UK and European &amp; German and Slavic mutt from my mom it&apos;s very well documented...<br>My family has been here a very long time

  I find all of this fascinating. One group that made an interesting jump in location was the North Carolina Moravians. Apparently, in the mid-17th century there was a large group of young men that walked on foot from Lancaster, PA to (Winston) Salem, NC and joined the Moravians. That was quite a journey to make with no horses and few belongings. Now in central NC is a small pocket where surnames are found that are usually associated with Pennsylvania-dutch country. It is amazing how much information can be gleaned from sur and place names.

  I have about 20 Mayflower passengers (1620) among my direct ancestors and my earliest direct Jamestown ancestor was Edward Waters on the Sea Venture in 1609 who got shipwrecked in Bermuda. Supposedly he was one of the three men who were left behind to claim the island, so he didn&apos;t finally land in Virginia until a couple years later. He settled on Waters Creek in what is today Newport News right where the Mariners Museum is located. I&apos;ve been there, also to James Fort at the original Jamestown site and Colonial Williamsburg.. 🤗💖

  Alot of those in the northeast migrated to NC,around the Revolution war .my ancestors came from Northeast and &nbsp;the Jamestown descendants.

  Mine are Jamestown and PA with Native mixed in. &nbsp;As they migrated west they got &nbsp;mixed up with each other and new arrivals. &nbsp;I&apos;m pretty well melted.
