My dad’s ancestors were indeed Percy’s , Warrens, de Bohuns, etc.. Dad has I1 y-YDA which is common in Scandinavia and England. By the time our ancestors migrated to America, we were laborers and probably indentured servants!

Walter Gifford was my 28th great grandfather. We are also related to the de Clares, de Bohuns, Bigods, Tonbridges, de Tosny, (Ralph V de Tosny was my 24th great grandfather), d'Avranches, de Veres and more. My 28th great grandmother was Bertrade de Montfort, Countess d'Anjou, Queen of France (stolen from Fulk IV by King Philip I of France). And Richard Fitz Gilbert de Clare the Strongbow, 2nd Earl Of Pembroke, Lord of Leinster, Justiciar (Prime Minister) of Ireland was my 24th great grandfather. I have the pedigress for all. My ancestor Walter Tirel married Adilaid Giffard, daughter of Walter Giffard who is on the Roll. Walter Tirel III is reputed to have killed William's son William "Rufus" in 1100.
