  The author loved Elizabeth Banks portrayal of Effie so much that she asked the director to increase her role in the movie compared to the books

  Thank you for paying attention to Finnick’s monologue. Too many reactors think it’s just background noise. But it’s important for understanding the overall story and especially for TBOSAS

  “i’m team katniss stop trying to date me we’re in a war!” YES THANK YOU CODY!!!!<br><br>editing to add as i watch: the scenes where katniss sees peeta slowly getting worse on screen were all filmed at once after keeping jennifer and josh apart for a long time. they had a really close relationship and her tears were 100% real at seeing his “distress”. in one interview she said she was “crying and screaming to leave my josh alone, just show me a blank screen and i’ll still cry i promise”. i love them 😂

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBq9Csg8i6c&amp;t=2715">45:15</a> &nbsp;Something about Finnick that a lot of people forget/don&apos;t realise is he was 14 in his games and one of the main reasons he won as we find out in the catching fire book was because he had a sponsor gift him a trident (it actually ended up being the most expensive sponsor ever) but the only reason he was able to be gifted the trident is because &nbsp;the people of the Capitol found him pretty which when you read Catching fire could be seen as just pretty privilege but then you get to mockingjay and you realise the people of the Capitol know that victors can be brought which means the main reason Finnick won his games was because enough people wanted to prostitute him at FUCKING 14 YEARS OLD!!!!!!!! And we don&apos;t even know when he was 1st sold but the latest is when he was 16 because Katniss comments how he spends every year at the games since he turned 16 going from &quot;lover&quot; to &quot;lover&quot;. Honestly, one of the biggest reasons I love Finnick as a character is because despite how fucking horrid his life and the way people treated him was he still managed to be one of the most caring, loving and understanding people in the entire series.

  honestly the dam scene is the one of my favourites.<br><br>when you realize that for most of those people this was a suicide mission, that the people in the front knew that they were absolutely not coming back, that their entire purpose was to fight the way through for the people behind them with their own bodies, the way they showed that when the people carrying the boxes fell others just took their place and continued on until they got close enough to take out the peacekeepers... &nbsp;literally everyone involved was 100% willing to die for this mission to blow up the dam and that&apos;s insane.

  In the books, Cinna survived the beating before Katniss went up into the second games, but was later tortured to death for information about the uprising. He knew what he was getting into when he made the wedding dress for Katniss, if not even sooner. At some point, he must have given his notebook of designs over to Plutarch. Born in the Capital, he was a rebel, through and through. He&apos;s my favorite side character in the whole series.

Peeta was the one who was good with people, he was the eloquent speaker - not her. She never wanted to be a symbol, she just loved her sister so much she was willing to volunteer in her place. And then while surviving, she fell in love with a boy who had once before saved her life. I get why she was so angry.

  The reason why Peeta wasn’t by the tree in Catching Fire is because he heard Katniss’ scream when Johanna cut her tracker out, which made him run into the woods to find her but instead of finding her he ran into Brutus (the district 2 tribute) and was fighting him up to when the arena fell apart.

  I love that you guys caught Finnick talking about his forced prostitution. Most reactors are talking at that point or focusing on Katniss and the rescue mission and miss it. So dark! &nbsp;I heard an interesting theory on Enobaria, the tribute who filed her teeth into points. Someone speculated she did it to prevent being prostituted out. Also dark!
