Apparantly, there was an ad campaign for a Yuban coffee that ran with that format, with mostly wives/girlfriends being surprised their guys would ask for a second cup (in whatever setting they were in away from home) when they never did at home. By some luck, this actress actually stared in one of those ads, but the production had no idea! Once she learned what the role was specifically, she kept quiet about it out of fear she would be removed from the cast, but in the end, both the production and Yuban itself never said a thing!<br><br>The great thing is, the movie uses the parody in such a way that the joke still lands even without that context, especially with the way it keeps escalating!

  As a fun fact: the announcers at the beginning were the actual announcers at LAX. They were married IRL and their lines were ab libbed! Also, Stephen Stucker (Johnny) wasn&apos;t given a script and all of his lines were ab libbed

  Zoey had one of the best reactions to AIRPLANE on the Internet. She is one of the few people that laughed when the old woman hung herself. Most people, especially the younger ones, are more horrified by this insanely funny scene; but not our Zoey. She got the humor immediately. The only jokes she missed are the ones that are dated and most Americans reacting to this movie miss those as well. She reacted to every type of American comedy, slapstick, play on words, absurdity, and outrageous scenes like the 2 kids having coffee. Her facial expression at that scene are worth $1 million. It took her a few seconds to get the humor at what the 9 year old girl said, but you could tell she got it. Zoey may not have sure what to do with what the child said, but she got the comedy. I really enjoyed watching AIRPLANE again with Zoey. She really is the best. 😊😅😂❤<br><br>BTW Zoey, Jive is an invented language that grew out of the Jazz era in the 1920s. It was popular among jazz musicians through most of the 1980s. It has since then mostly faded into history. There is an old American expression, &quot;Don&apos;t jive me,&quot; which means don&apos;t 🐂💩 me or don&apos;t lie to me.
