They didn't have the financial budget for horses when they were making the movie, so they improvised in a very comedic way.

Notice that the knight that killed the famous historian was riding a real horse 🐎 😅. That means he wasn't one of Arthur's knights.

Monty Python The Life of Brian is worth checking out as well. 👍 I'm glad that you guys enjoyed it. This is one of those movies you have to go in with a goofy mindset. If you take it seriously you will not enjoy it.

This movie was HUGE in geek/nerd culture back in the 70s and 80s. We'd go around saying lines to the movie. You'd get hurt and "Tis but a scratch" or "It's just a flesh wound", "Let me face the peril!", "I got better", "You make me sad", "See the violence inherent in the system!", "Help I'm being repressed!", "She's got huge.... tracts of land", etc. etc. etc. Lots of people used the sound clip of "Message for you, sir!" as their email notifications, etc.
