  The scene where Jason hears guys at the urinals saying his costars hate him is a dramatization of an event that actually happened to William Shatner at another convention. This movie is a love letter to Star Trek fandom, especially of fans of the original series. Many fans consider it to be an official Star Trek film and it is rated highly against that catalog by the fandom.

  By Grabthar&apos;s hammer... what a movie 😑<br><br>RIP to Alan. His arc to accepting his catchphrase and fandom is simply incredible. Taking a knock-off Spock and making him the most emotionally moving character in the whole film is a testament to his talent.

  Sam Rockwell being the only one not shot during Serras&apos; sneak attack on the bridge is the funniest little bit after all the red shirt jokes. I love that they bring him back as the security chief in the reboot - which given the fates of the 2 security chiefs in TNG, could go either way for him 😅

  It&apos;s been cut from the movie, but the reason Tony Shalhoub&apos;s character is so chill and at the vending machine when they were sent to the ship is cause his character is suppose to be a big stoner. They cut the context of his aloofness and easy going vibe but he&apos;s still funny either way.

  As I hear it, they really didn&apos;t <i>want</i> Sigourney Weaver to play Gwen Demarco/Lt. Madison because she was already a big-name sci-fi star, but she read the script and loved it (and the thought of working with Tim Allen and Alan Rickman) <i>so</i> much that they basically <i>had</i> to let her have the part <i>(and</i> keep the wig, I believe).<br><br>Another fun fact: <i>Galaxy Quest</i> was voted the seventh-best <i>Star Trek</i> movie of all time at the 2013 Las Vegas Star Trek Convention.
