I still cook like this for my family. Im 79 and i cook in the Crockpot, the Electric Skillet, or a pit on the stove or a sheetpan in the oven.

An actor in a local summer stock theater bought a crockpot at one of our large family yard sales. He was around 25, and i made copies of some of the healthier soup and stew recipes we'd all used. He stopped by about two weeks later while i was doing yardwork, just to thank us for teaching him about crockpots, and said hed purchased two ckkbooks for it.

I grew up in the 70's so I have cooked every recipe here at least once. I have collection of five or six different crock pots too. Love them an d still use them.

I showed this video to my neighbor and she said oh you need to read the book Rogue Remedies by Ruth Vance. Turns out FOUR women on my street have already read it. That should tell you something.

I can't afford meat. I can't cook anything anymore as I'm disabled n a wheelchair and have no kitchen. The prices of meat back then makes me sad. We could actually afford food back in the seventies.
