Copeland was overdubbing those ride bell accents when you hear the snare. I learned the song by ear and do the ride accents, lol. It makes me rush between the ride and my hi-hats

Actually, you’re missing part of the fade out if you listen to the original studio version when it gets to the very end of the fade out if you jack it up all the way you can hear him singing sending out an SO blue

Hi, guys, a couple cool things:<br>Sting is playing a fretless here, more than likely either a fretless P-bass or Ibanez that he had in his arsenal by the time of this recording.<br>Not to discount Willie, but I had read that Nigel Gray had the band play this song over and over, repeatedly, and they chose the best take.

Dan here again. Andy called his chorus/delay/reverb tone as "The Wobbling Cloud" especially after he began using the Roland GR-300 guitar synth with his rig.<br><br>It's his early 60's Tele here, very modded when he bought it from a guitar student. If you look up the specs on an Andy Summers Telecaster, you'll be very surprised.<br><br>Sting didn't acquire his early 50s P-bass until much later in his career. When the Police first started, he only owned his '62 Jazz Bass.
