  Syd Barrett didn't just contribute the name of the group with "2 words".  He created the band by writing the first 3 hits and all but one song on the first album. The band wouldn't have ever existed without him.

  Waters came to think that he WAS Pink Floyd. Which he wasn't. He was just one part of Pink Floyd. Can you imagine what they could've done if Waters would have realized that?
