They came up with these jokes just brainstorming together with all the actors and writers, the comedy talent in this show is unhinged, some of the best ever.

This series had the creme de la creme of British actors in it with each series a different era of history. Yet the last scene was one of the most heart wrenching ever. Tony Robinson who played Baldrick was great.

Do the British and French have a history? Only 1000 years of conflict. 41 major wars (one of them went on for 116 years). Rival empire building. You have heard of Napoleon right? That was him in the sketch about to get his arse handed to him by Wellington.
