  Max made the gussied up version... in the 1980s it was a couple packets of the Carl budding chipped beef luncheon meat that was about 15 cents for a  a packet meant to have enough for one thin sandwich back then. Blue bonnet margarine, not butter, and if times were really tough, government issue powdered milk that we stood in line at the national guard armory to have. Served over the cheapest supermarket white bread. This would feed two adults and three kids. It wasn't just a military meal it's a scarcity meal. I hated it.. but it was warm food in our bellies.

  I was in the Marines for 10 years in the late 80's into the 90's then went on to a different career path.  The WWI and WWII men had it ROUGH compared to now.  It's not even comparable really.  I will say this about a MRE.  If you are completely physically depleted, if you never have been you won't really understand this but eating a entire MRE will bring you back.  Great job guys love what you do!!

  I started watching Max when he barely had 10k subs. I remember thinking that if he keeps at it, his channel is going to grow. Some people just have that certain charm that you just know they&apos;ll be successful on YouTube/social media
