In Germany,when we sell products that we assume are typical American,the package usually says "American style_____" because most of your ingredients and additives are forbidden in Europe.

Yes, they do need to specify American Dollars. USA is not the only country that calls its money dollars. About 25 other countries do as well, and not all dollars are equal.

Europeans in the US tend to ask what the final price will be. AFTER taxes, because for us, quoting a price without tax is stupid.

"You can just say dollars!" - uhm no you can't. There is Canadian dollars, Australian dollars, New Zealand dollars, Singapore dollars, Hong Kong dollars, Fijian dollars, Jamaican dollars, Barbadian dollars, Liberian dollars, Namibian dollars, and so on. That is literally not even half the different dollars that exist on the worlds financial markets.<br>The US dollar is just one of MANY.
