  In many European countries, the houses are made of stone and brick and well insulated walls. If it's really hot outside, you do NOT open windows and doors. Don't let the heat inside. The houses are cooler than the outside.

  Southern Europeans stop during the maximum heat because it would kill them, they still work the same 8-hour day they just get a break in the middle.

  Europe has over 40 countries with their own laws. The minimum age for drinking and buying alcohol also differs. Apart from the fact that it&apos;s annoying when over 40 countries, 700 million people, with completely different cultures are repeatedly portrayed as one homogeneous culture. <br>Believe me, Finland is different from Spain or Poland.

  The work culture in the US is utterly toxic. <br>And the idea that you can only &apos;progress&apos;, or &apos;improve&apos; yourself by working like a maniac, slaving for promotions and pay rises, is deeply sad. It says that employment status and material possesions are the only things that give your life meaning and substance. <br>What about art? Culture? Life experiences? Friendship? Learning? Spiritual fulfillment?

  It makes me sad that his perspective of &quot;upgrading myself as a person&quot; is equivalent to making more money. Not making more human connections, or memories with your loved ones, or enriching your culture, or taking in nature, etc. how backwards is that

  The fact that you say you open the windows when it is hot tells us everything we need to know.<br>You DON&apos;T open the windows when it&apos;s hot outside, you keep them close with the shades down in order to not let the heat in. <br>No wonder you need AC!!!
