  What surprised me most after moving to the UK is how different “democracy” looks when the head of government can be shouted at across the room every week like a badly behaved substitute teacher.<br><br>The US President, UK Prime Minister, Congress, Parliament, Electoral College, House of Lords, monarchy, written constitution, unwritten constitution.   A Brit here...Yes I vote... Our history should demand it. Ordinary people died to get us the vote; both men and women. The Peterloo massacre, the suffragette movement and other events that led to ordinary people getting the vote.

  The American constitution was CREATED based on 18th century political theory, whereas the British constitution has EVOLVED over a much longer time period, adjusting to major social and political changes.

  Make no mistake.... We are DEEPLY flawed people here too! In Britain! With our own fair share of problems to deal with! BUT! All that said... We are a brutally honest people... With a tragic sense of humour to boot! A lot of us know that the Sun has permanently set on the British Empire.... And most... Not all, but most of us are OK with this!<br><br>Honestly? Most Brits just want to get the F on with their lives! We&apos;re not all money oriented... And all this AI and technology stuff.... Most of us know comes with a COST! We are NOT loud and bombastic as our Yankee Doodle counterparts! And we know how to stick it to our politicians 😁<br><br>Yanks could definitely learn a thing or two from us! Now that the American Dream turned out to be just a dream all along 😳
