Huge thanks for the support ❤️ If my cooking style works for you, I’ve got a second channel you might enjoy too: 👉 @notanothercurryshowsamebutdiff 🇬🇧 Marmite Twiglet-Style Chickpeas Ingredients • Canned chickpeas — 1 × 400 g tin, about 240 g drained | 1½ US cups | 1¼ UK cups • Potato starch — 2 tbsp | 6 tsp | 16 g | 30 ml | ⅛ US cup | ⅛ UK cup • Neutral oil — 1 tbsp | 3 tsp | 1/16 US cup | 1/16 UK cup Marmite coating • Marmite — 2 tsp | ⅔ tbsp | 12 g • Hot water — 2 tsp | ⅔ tbsp 10 ml • Neutral oil — 1 tsp | ⅓ tbsp | 5 ml • Onion powder — ½ tsp | ⅙ tbsp | 1.3 g • Fine black pepper — ¼ tsp | 0.5 g • Sugar — ¼ tsp | 1 g • MSG, optional — ⅛ tsp | 0.5 g 🇦🇺 Vegemite Twiglet-Style Chickpeas Ingredients • Canned chickpeas — 1 × 400 g tin, about 240 g drained | 1½ US cups | 1¼ UK cups • Potato starch — 2 tbsp | ⅛ US cup | ⅛ UK cup • Neutral oil — 1 tbsp | 1/16 US cup | 1/16 UK cup Vegemite coating • Vegemite — 1½ tsp | ½ tbsp | 10 g • Hot water — 2 tsp | ⅔ tbsp | 10 ml • Neutral oil — 1 tsp | ⅓ tbsp • Onion powder — ½ tsp | 1.3 g • Fine black pepper — ¼ tsp | 0.5 g • Sugar — ½ tsp | 2 g • MSG, optional — ⅛ tsp | 0.5 g Air fry at 200°C / 400°F for 15 minutes, shaking every 5 minutes. Return to the air fryer at 190°C / 375°F for 3 minutes, shaking once. Return again 1 minute. For a conventional oven, use: Initial crisping: 220°C / 425°F conventional or 200°C / 400°F fan for 25–30 minutes Shake or stir thoroughly every 10 minutes. Toss with the Marmite or Vegemite coating. Final drying: reduce to 210°C / 410°F conventional or 190°C / 375°F fan for 6–8 minutes, stirring halfway.
