The tragedy is that some neurodivergent women (more than men) develop chronic crushing fatigue and/or pain that prevents them from working, at least not full time. CFS, fibromyalgia, dysautonomia... I was top of my class in university, but then I never had a career and I was limited in my sports/hobbies. And I had to pay doctors and treatments out of pocket to get decent care, so even less money. And perimenopause made everything worse.

Thank you both!! That was a fantastic episode. I really struggled with brain function after becoming menopausal and testosterone has helped so much in conjunction with ADHD medication. I got through life with extreme effort, but once I had my son and then years later became menopausal I could no longer manage with the coping mechanisms I had. CBT for ADHD is very helpful or coaching to help with executive functioning skills. The combination has been great for me as a Mum with a teenage son with ADHD/ASC and being at a life stage where patents also need care.

I am sure this is what has happened to me ; I’ve suffered with depression On and off , substance abuse, impulsivity, so many things that point to autism/adhd and now at 55 my brain just can’t cope and I don’t know what to do , the doc made a hugely sarcastic comment but did refer me but theres not eneough help I’ve never had my HRT reviewed
