As a former teacher, as well as late diagnosed ADHD, I can tell you that most people don't recognize that there are different types of intelligence. All of them are valuable to a well functioning society.

People exhaust me at this point. I can only stand my closest ones. Most others drain the heck out of me. I no longer have the energy or will to fake interest. 30secs in a social convo and I start dissociating. I practically look thru their brains off to the distance.

If you don't understand yourself how can you ever explain to anyone else . With many of the conversations you have I feel like I am understanding me for the first time , I'm often crying . I'm nearly 70 and I've felt lost all my life , still undiagnosed and sent away by doctors .

I struggle to Procrastinate going to sleep, i struggle to stay awake for no reason, fighting myself to go up to bed. Then i watch the clock all night, cant sleep bc i have something i need to get up for, then i cant get anything done all day until i go do that thing i need to do. Then im exhausted! ❤❤❤

Finally, someone who explains in the most profound detail how we literally survive most of the time instead of living. It's a daily inner struggle to be able to do normal things that come naturally to someone without ADHD.

I am a 54 year old woman. I just got diagnosed with ADHD, combined type today. It's such a relief, because it explains my WHOLE life. All the things the doctor in this video said are so accurate.I feel like he's describing me. I've always felt different and misunderstood. I've struggled my whole life, always thinking the way I was, was my fault. I have been diagnosed with anxiety and depression. The depression got better with meds, but the anxiety never did. I'm really looking forward to trying ADHD meds. I can't even imagine what it might feel like to have my brain calm down!
