  I once saw someone post something along the lines of:<br><br>Zuko was obsessed with capturing the avatar and thereby restoring his own honor. <br><br>He went out and did exactly that. But not in the way he initially thought. <br><br>He ended up becoming friends with the Avatar. In so doing, he helped in ending the 100 year war and began the effort of bringing honor back to his homeland and his family - not just his.<br><br>Destiny is a funny thing.

  You’re completely right. I never realized how it all ties back to shame. Ambition and drive are admirable traits, but using them just to run away from shame we haven’t confronted doesn’t take us where we want to go.

  I grew up with a disgusting, violent, and opressive relationship with my dad and was a really angry kid and teenager. I watched this as a kid spaced out and stuff, but then watched it in college and it literally changed the route of my life... you don&apos;t need others validation, is good, but is cosmetic, self validation and love , TENDERS SELF LOVE AND RESPECT, is critical for yourself
