  I have been a teacher for about 7 years now and over the years I&apos;ve made brutal mass mistakes when it comes to classroom management and this Cost me my mental health a<br>. But over these years I&apos;ve learned a lot of techniques that&apos; you call Smart classroom management and watching your videos, I wish I had watched your videos 6 years earlier , 7 years earlier, because that would have saved me a lot of pain and a lot of stress. <br>To every novice teacher out there this man is incredibly amazing in &nbsp;classroom management. So take out your pencil and a notebook and start taking notes because everything that he says is just spot on.<br><br><br><br>Thank you so much for sharing these deep insights into smart classroom management. &nbsp;it&apos;s really worth paying for.❤

  This makes sense, but I was taught by my university to move constantly (and it doesn&apos;t help that I am a little hyperactive) and constantly re-explaining. I like that you explain that we&apos;re referees. I don&apos;t know why my university said otherwise. One thing I noticed that helped calm my middle schoolers down is having moved my desk to the back of the room with their backs towards me. I can fidget and work quietly back there while they do their stuff.

  1. Lack of respect for you. &nbsp;No societal baseline of &quot;respect.&quot;. Kids now don&apos;t respect teachers. &nbsp;You have to create it.<br><br>4 things to do to generate respect that are predictably effective:<br>1. Cold (no emotion) accountability. &nbsp;The rules RULE, and you&apos;re a referee. &nbsp;Teach rules in extreme detail, then follow to a T<br>2. Boldness (show no fear, no hesitation, no overlooking behavior for challenging students). Action, not words<br>3. Brevity. Overexplain rules, but make day to day talking very short and to the point. &nbsp;No convincing, bribing, manipulating, rewarding, explaining<br>4. Stillness. Stop pacing and moving around the classroom, redirecting, etc. &nbsp;Stand and deliver instruction with stillness.

  This hit home with how I was handling one of my students last year. I did all of these wrong, and on the surface, it looked as if I was getting through and &apos;earning&apos; his respect. He wasn&apos;t rude to my face, but more in his actions and lack of effort in my classroom. I thought what I was doing was correct but by the end of the year it was apparent, I had made things worse. I&apos;m thinking that&apos;s about the time I found your website, lol! After watching this video, it now makes sense what happened last year and why the changes I&apos;ve made this year (and still are making) have created a much more enjoyable and respectful classroom. I even receive compliments when we have guests!

  Thank you so much for what you are teaching. It is definitely my missing link. After downloading your classroom management plan from your website, and applying it my whole world is changing and shifting for the better! It is amazing how many of the problems I was having were actually being caused by my own lack of self discipline! Keep posting, I am learning more with every video I watch, and it is paying off hugely in my classroom and life. &nbsp;Thank you!

  lol do all of this and didn’t have a name for it until now. So Thankyou… The other teachers call me a “strict teacher”…. But all the kids in the school scream my name from the parking lot to inside the school.
