Lucas dumb as hell if he think I’m going home empty-handed with NEW trauma. In the words of Denzel Washington: “I’m from around the way! I’m leavin’ here with sumthin!”

Imagine if she left with nothing, her brother would still be gone AND she’d still be broke and traumatized! At least now she can pay off their debt, lay him to rest somewhere nice and start a new life elsewhere. It’ll be tough but she’ll be aight.

This is a cult classic for me. It doesn't get a lot of recognition because of the setting and budget. And that ending stuck with me.

 ⚠⚠⚠⚠SPOILER ALERT ❗❗❗❗

The brother's suicide was foreshadowed! He subtly floated the idea that Iris should give up on him at least twice and he seemed particularly quiet and distant right before her departure, like he'd made up his mind then.

This movie is so depressing and such a gut punch to watch. Even just a recap is heavy. Iris went through ALL THAT...

I've been OBSESSED with this movie and fully believe Brittany Snow could be a Horror Queen if she wanted to

I feel like having her eat the foie gras was a difficult test and probably felt more difficult than if she had to eat any other kind of meat product because the whole process of creating foie gras involves animal cruelty before killing the duck/goose. Maybe they thought it was the perfect first test for her to really see if she would break down her morals for money and to see just how desperate she really was.

I would LOVE to see you cover The Fall of the House of Usher! Plenty of heartless rich people to hate!

Between this and the mist, these movie endings made me both so angry and sad. I’ll never forget Britany snow screaming “what did you do!” To her brother when she came back, absolutely heartbreaking

The thing about Iris' choice to shoot him in the end, I feel like that was really her only option to make it out alive. The assurance the psycho rich guys have that the victims won't go to the police is probably that, by accepting the money, they incriminate themselves in the whole operation. If she declined the money they both probably would have been killed, since nothing would have stopped them from going to the police. (Idk how the law actually works, that's just always what I assumed)

I watched this movie when it first came out, I definitely can't handle the gore like I used to. It was nice to see Sasha Gray! She has mentioned she was heavily exploited while in the adult industry got into acting while breaking out of that. Love all your videos!!
