  its so poetic to think that mary died trying to suture herself back up (physically put herself back together), just like she tried doing after the assault: emotionally putting herself back together. she wasn’t successful in either attempt but it really goes to show how traumatizing assault can be on the psyche.

  The movie is an entirely Canadian production, but the directors joked to the effect that they set it in America because Canadian Mary wouldn't sound intimidating.

  I was a cocktail waitress at a gentleman's club. So to answer your question about why is there cameras in the bathroom. It's for safety and liability reasons. The club doesn't want to be liable for any drug or illegal activities. There's times where it's also to prevent theft. They are also installed in the locker rooms
