  Listen this has to be the messiest movie I ever seen since Unfriended and the cast was casting representing the Gen Z/Zellinnials and I agree that the writing for Gen Z should be explored more etc. What u identity as Gen Z or Zellinnial just wondering..

  Things like hurricane parties aren't a new phenomenon unfortunately, Edgar Allan Poe's The Masque of the Red Death is about rich people throwing a party while everyone else is dying of the disease outside of the party. There's also the Decameron which was written by a rich Italian man ducking the Black Plague but unlike Poe's work is a celebration of this sort of retreat and party and is a pretty influential piece of literature in of itself. It's an interesting contrast not only the hundreds of years inbetween, but Poe spent time broke, had to enlist in the Army to have a steady income, and when he became a full time writer, well it didn't pay well. He spent enough time on the other side of the fence to understand that the people on the other side were human, and in that connection how can you not see the inhumanity in a party like this when many more are dying outside the chamber doors

  &quot;hurricane parties&quot; are a real different thing for rich ppl i guess, for me in college it was like &quot;well we&apos;re all going to be stuck inside bc of the flooding, let&apos;s get our friends over before the storm hits and bring board games and extra batteries&quot; and there were absolutely 0 casualties

  As a Florida native, a hurricane party is just a good excuse to gather with family during a natural disaster. Calling it a party can keep the kids from freaking out, but I do agree this type of partying during a hurricane would be off putting.

  Fun fact. With the exception of Amandla the cast are actually all millennial cuspers (born in &apos;95 and &apos;96). Even Gregg&apos;s actor is a cusper, but a gen X one.
