30 days of dead hangs = new respect for this move. Honestly underrated for anyone stuck at a desk all day. Thanks to Tasty Gains for making this one possible — creatine gummies link: https://tastygains.com/collections/supps/products/creatine-gummies?ref=YELLOWDUDE

Nobody believes that a guy who can do over 10 pullups can't handle 13 seconds of deadhang

I call BS on this story, so he said he could already do pull ups but couldn't dead hang for 10 seconds on the 1st day

I started with dead hangs. I can comfortably hang for 1min and now do 10 pull ups. It’s been a great experience

This is a great explanation for something that seems simple but turns out to be harder than it looks.

Shoulder Impingement
I'm 73 and after decades of bench pressing my shoulders started to hurt so much I just couldn't bench anymore . The gap between the humerus and scapula had closed , the nerves pinched between bone .
I started therapy by hanging from a straight bar , three sets of 60 seconds each , daily . The goal was to regain that separation I had lost . I was skeptical but after 6 weeks the pain was completely gone and I could do bench again , just going lightly .
Hanging for 60 seconds is hard , fortunately I faced a clock on the wall , which helps , but I also used a small step chair to stand on . I just bent my knees until I was totally slack , only using my legs to help when I started to lose grip . After a couple of weeks I didn't need the chair to do 60 seconds .
Whether this helped my back idk but I no longer have shoulder pain from Impingement .

I started dead hanging casually, because I wanted to stretch my spine due to office work. Furthermore, I had more than one year ago a shoulder injury and I noticed that It was really helping that simple exercise. Also, it helped me for pull ups as well. I will introduce the "active" hang as well then
