Yeh I admit I panic bought air con. 30-40 degrees in a modern house which holds the heat for days is no fun at all. I used to actually stop playing games on my gaming PC as it was too hot. No more! Got a 5kw unit installed and leave my bedroom and bathroom doors open and it cools the entire flat down. The last 2 weeks I've slept like a baby. Best thing I've ever bought!!!

One of the important reasons for UK houses becoming hot is because K-glass was fitted standard in UK homes. This glass allows radiant energy from the sun to enter the window, but then blocks the re-emitted heat from the from inside the room. It was fitted to keep the room warm in the cold weather using "solar gain". They make UK windows a huge problem from summer heat as they capture the heat from the sun, then don't let the heat out.
It is necessary to stop the sun going through the window in the first place , velux windows are designed to have a external blind fitting within the frame, you can purchase these from abroad quite cheaply, though velux of sells these too. You just extend these OUTSIDE the velux window to block 90% of the solar gain.
You can fit external blinds on normal house windows (you need to use the term "screen" in google) outside, but professional ones are very expensive, but they are magic stopping >95% of the solar gain. You can buy cheap DIY ones from Germany (from many internet places like A.....n) but they only stop 50-60% of the solar gain.

Great video and love your content. How do you view Daikin’s swing compressor tech in terms of reducing power cycling compared to other brands? Thanks and keep up the great work 🎉

Can you do a video explaining the profit for installers and the costs associated with starting installing air con. I have guys working for me and I’m thinking of setting up for air con installs but not sure the profit and if it’s worth it for the initial outlay with F gas qualification etc. thanks.

I love the outdoor unit being butt right up to a garden tap! Is that so you can keep the condenser cool?
