  Thanks for sharing your experience, Shan. We are very happy with our Heat Geek install. We did have a new water cylinder and half our rads changed. That meant we spent a lot more, but have been getting great efficiency out of the system. 4.75 over the winter and 3.6 from the water in June (3.9 so far in July with the high heat).

  We got the same 7kw Vaillant installed in January from HeatGeek and has been amazing. Rural cottage in Scotland switching from electric storage so made total sense for us to get an ASHP. House is comfortable 24/7 and always plenty of hot water from our 150L cylinder. Your videos really helped us on our journey!

  Yes, wall-mounted is unusual. &nbsp;I was told that there needed to be about a foot between the outside wall and the heat pump, for annual inspection and maintenance.

  no need for ground mount. just add good vibration isolating &quot;feet&quot; for the heat pump &nbsp;- about £90 (see the HeatGeek video about exactly that).<br>oh, already mentioned!!! 😃

  We have a wall mounted 5kw Vaillant heat pump and we had some vibration. Installer replaced the feet on the bracket with rubber feet and that cured the problem.

  This is a really informative video. I particularly liked the idea of retaining the existing boiler and radiators and offsetting the cost of water heating to a low overnight tariff while using the ASHP to warm the home. A well balanced solution. I certainly agree that using an ASHP requires a new way of thinking about heating a home.
