  Hi Tim. Im wondering if you can help me with this one. After viewing your air con videos I purchased a Toshiba Haori air con for the beroom only to cope with these hot nights. Love the unit but I have one problem. I like it to be running at night but it keeps switching itself off after twelve at night. All timers are off. Ive left it running all day. that didnt work.Turned it on just before going to bed and that didnt work. Tried resetting unit and that didnt work so at a loss now. I was wondering have you had any such poroblem with yours? Have you tried leaving it on at night?

  Nice video. We got air con just for cooling and didn't even realise it could heat the house as well until the engineer who fitted it showed us how it worked 🤣 It is very efficient to heat house but I do prefer the heat from radiators/underfloor heating compared to A2A. What temperature do you have the bedroom? With regard to running costs, don't you have to get aircon serviced as well?

  We have and old ideal system boiler 29 years old which as you can imagine is on its last legs. We are looking at getting an air to air system fitted but looking at ways of supplying two taps small basin in bathroom and kitchen sink with hot water the immersion heater will probably do short term as it’s just r lass and me. Just discovered your channel and it’s going to be really useful finding alternative methods

  Actually, you CAN get hot water with an air to air system. If you install a vrf system, it can heat, cool, and do both at the same time. In summer, it dumps heat from the building into a boiler and heats the water. The indoor units are and work the same as the ones youre showing

  Have you looked into any of those 'heat-blocking' window films, from 3M etc, for south-facing windows or those bifolds?

  I think I noted that you don’t have a unit in every room so I am particularly interested in how well the heating works.  Do you follow the same logic of keeping unused doors shut or do you have supplementary heating options or does the warm air distribute sufficiently.  I have a detached 3 bed with an open plan lounge/kitchen.  Likely not very different to your own property.

  If possible, try to install external shutters of some kind on all windows. By reducing or preventing the solar gain, the house will be cooler and cheaper to cool.

  24 degrees seems really hot for comfort, personally I like 18 all over the bungalow . I'm  thinking of a single split in one room mainly for cooling to soak up the extra solar rather than export it. And if anyone comes over and likes a hot room then it can do that.

  We got 2 Haori units in our bungalow on one external heat pump.  We are having a third internal unit added.  With our solar panels it has been fantastic, and so great this summer 😊 thanks for your videos on the topic, so informative 👍

  In my house I installed a Daikin R32 at the top of the central staircase, close the doors to all unused rooms and I can run the unit all day for £1 with the help of solar panels. Like you I set the temp to 24C which also makes sleeping at night very comfortable as I dont wake up because I am too hot/cold

  Could your air to air system give you lower temperatures than 24 or so if you wanted it to? For example, 20 degrees daytime, 17 at night?

  I just got a Midea 3 unit system installed ofr £3785. Now all upstairs and the living room will be covered. The gas boiler will only be used for water for now - got a tank and Eddi going in soon to replace it. We have solar and battery and V2G
