I went to Barcelona for the build up to the Olympics. The city was buzzing and this was heard everywhere. It was magical.

She was nicknamed "La Superba", and she definitely was just that. Caballe was one of opera's soprano triumvirate. Till this day, even after her death, she is still loved in Spain.

The man conducting with the light wand is Mike Moran. He and Freddie composed this album together. When Freddie went to meet Montserrat for the first time he took her a tape of his vocal capabilities, he was imitating her, and played it for her. He called it Exercises in Free Love. Please give it a listen. He gave it to her and she added her touch and called it Ensueno. Give that a listen as well. A third song they did together is called The Golden Boy….rock meets opera meets gospel.
