  As a coeliac I can honestly say guluten free is purely a way to sell rubbish. Gluten free means many hours on the loo.

  That was an eye-opener. I actually started baking bread recently and have been buying the cheaper brands although it says wholemeal on the front now I’m not gonna buy them. I’ll definitely stick to the brands you’ve mentioned in the last part of the video and as far as pesticide of concern that is terrible they’re doing this to all the plants that so-called healthy vegetables which are in fact not so healthy when you’re eating them because you’re also eating the poison they put on them I agree with this video and praise your advice and information. Keep up the good work.

  'British' is daft on a wheat packet, we only grow wheat which mills to a 'soft' flour I.e.  good for cakes. For bread you need a 'hard' flour, high in gluten, from Italy or Canada.

  FFS. 23 minutes to tell us that the only wholemeal flour is wholemeal flour? Is the British public so ignorant that they don't know this?  Wholemeal flour, wholemeal bread, these are the only things people should be buying if they care about their food. The fact is, most people don't care.

  Screw modern flour. i use Hinxhill fields wholemeal 'millers choice'.  It is organic stone ground HERITAGE WHEAT. traditional pre 1955 English  long straw strains created on a small 45 acre kent farm.developed by the owner over 12 years from historic seeds he sourced. Buy it direct from them £11.50  plus £6.70 P&P for a 5 kg bag  or other sizes. tons of flavor compared to modern hyberdized wheat, easier to digest gluten type.

  Flour hasn&apos;t been pure since I was a kid (I&apos;m 68 now). <br>First something was added to stop it clumping in the bag, that changed flour enough that the mothers had to account for it when they cooked with it. But what ever that stuff was it was cheaper for the producers than real flour, so every so often they increased the amount of that stuff.<br><br>If you want real flour you can get it, or get a grinder to do your own. Bread, pastry etc taste a lot better, but it will clump, some seems to turn into concrete. You also have to be more careful how you keep it because it will have life in it.
