  I once travelled with a  Spanish  lady who was sending tankers of olive oil to Italy where is was bottled and labelled as Italian It was her job  thousands of litres daily.

  Superb analysis of Olive oil. I recently made a sauce for pasta and finished it with a drizzle of the unheated oil to put those 'extra Virgin' flavour notes back into the sauce. I did as I always do last time making this sauce but no such effect occurred and I wondered why- now I know so thank you for the explainer!  This only adds to my confidence in Lidle's quality of products. This confirms my position as one of their continuing devotees! Great olive oil from a store which takes quality control and product sourcing seriously

  The only extra virhin olive oil you should be using needs to be cold pressed, organic, have a harvest date on & comes in a dark glass bottle.

  NO OLIVE OIL IN A CLEAR BOTTLE IS ANY GOOD.LIGHT IS ONE OF OLIVE OIL ENEMIES.

  I've bought Primaddona Extra Virgin olive oil from LIDL for over ten years. Best supermarket brand I've ever used and tasted. I do buy speciality Italian and Greek extra virgin olive oils, occasionally,  rather more expensive, and they generally come in tins. Nevertheless absolutely excellent. Great video by the way. EDIT: My local LIDL doesn't sell the Primaddona EV olive oil in glass bottles any more, I do, however have a Primadonna glass bottle I've had for years, cleaning it occasionally, and decant the plastic bottle oil into it. I just think glass bottles are way better for any product.

  The olive oil in my kitchen at present is: &nbsp; Garusana....100% Spanish &nbsp;Extra Virgin Olive oil &nbsp;Cholesterol Free...Origin &nbsp;Spain. &nbsp;It&apos;s in a 500ml &nbsp;dark bottle with a dark green lid. &nbsp;I paid £4.99 &nbsp;from Lidl &nbsp;a week ago. &nbsp;It expires 05/2028. <br>Thank you for the information, &nbsp;next time I will be armed and wiser.

  The lidi primadona Italian has also changed over to the plastic bottle now by the looks of it when I went to buy some yesterday
