Traditional Lurpak butter is packed in foil, whereas spreadable Lurpak is always in a tub.

Don't buy spreadable butter, get a butter dish and don't put it in the fridge, real butter has an incredible shelf life.

You are ignoring (for example) the real lurpak butter sitting right next to the spreadable on the shelf. Spreadable is not real butter - and doesn’t claim to be. It’s more akin to margarine.

All "Butter" spreads that use the word "spreadable". The actual word BUTTER is not used on the package; they are a hybrid spread, the same as Margarine.

Govt needs to ban companies calling chocolate- chocolate unless it’s completely cocoa butter. The same with butter - 100 per cent milk

I was challenged by a Friend many years ago who asked me what Vegetables were processed in my oil, stupidly i looked at the picture on the label and showed him, my knowledge from that point<br>totally changed when i realised.

A block of butter and margarine were left outdoors in an experiment and the margarine was untouched by every critter including birds, squirrels etc yet the butter was eaten with nothing left in no time at all.<br><br>The marge remained totally untouched which is so telling to god knows what ingredients were used in the manufacturing process

Graham's Scottish butter is very good. The sea salt crystals can actually be seen in the butter, making it delicious. Slightly more expensive than most £1.99 block butters but worth it for the quality. Our butter is stored in a stainless steel insulated butter dish and stays on the counter all year round, never refrigerated.
