  Why do they need to mix synthetic folic acid in the flour. Did we ask them for it and who gave them the permission to do it. These people need to get sued.

  People with cancer, vitamin B12 deficiency, stents and other illnesses can not have anything with folic acid (NHS) It can also mask a B12 deficiency, which can silently lead to irreversible nerve damage. <br><br>High-dose folic acid supplementation and excessively high blood folate levels are linked to an increased risk of prostate cancer and accelerated tumour growth. Unmetabolized folic acid (UMFA) can build up in the blood when high supplemental doses are ingested. Research indicates that excess levels may interact with cell development processes linked to cancer.<br><br>Just 2 Weetabix can almost give a child more than the recommend amount a day. While essential, extreme over-supplementation during pregnancy (e.g., blood levels four times higher than normal) has been associated in some studies with an increased risk of autism spectrum disorders in offspring, as well as gestational diabetes. <br><br>This video my be AI , I hate AI, but is not scaremongering at all. Our government went with 250 mcg folic acid per 100g flour. <br>They therefore estimate between 225,000 and 404,000 will end up exposed to unsafe levels every day for a year. <br><br>Wholemeal wheat flours, gluten-free flours, and traditional flours from small mills (processing under 500 tonnes a year) are exempt. *Organic and &apos;Free from&apos; are NOT exempt. <br><br>However, there is no ban on voluntary fortification. Folate, which is natural, found in certain foods is totally fine. Folic acid is not natural and man made. Supermarkets ( I won&apos;t name them ) are adding it to flour that is exempt. Anyone who thinks it won&apos;t effect them, I just wont eat bread, are in for a shock. Its even in drinks, gravy granules, sausages, burgers and much more. Also certain supermarkets are listing vegetables as &apos;Natural folic acid&apos; It is not natural! <br><br>Why am I typing this? Well my hubby has prostate cancer and can&apos;t have anything that contains Folic acid, doesn&apos;t leave much he can have to be honest. And as some packaging doesn&apos;t list it contains Folic acid, it actually does. Before we knew about this mass medication we were both happily eating bread etc that contained it, whilst having cancer. And as some products didn&apos;t list that they contained it we thought they were safe. They weren&apos;t. <br><br>Please sign the petition if you wish but, please do your research before you think that this is scaremongering. It really isn&apos;t. <br><br>As to this channel&apos;s video, it is miss informed as pretty much no bread is safe. <br><br>If you have read this, thank you.
