At 44 it all hit. Severe anxiety out of no where, depression, migraines, fatigue, itchy everywhere. This is the craziest thing. I feel for previous generations. They didn’t know and went through this alone. Thank God we’re not taking it laying down! Also social media has helped spread the word!

I really hate this stage of life I’m 46 and feel awful . I really wish they told us about this when we was younger cause it’s so much more than a hot flash 😢

They need to talk about this when women are in their 30’s. Dr’s have ignored thousands of women minimizing their symptoms for years. For years I heard from my Dr “ oh that’s just your hormones” Yet nothing was done

Oh my gosh, let me just start by saying this: the way you titled this masterclass feels like you personally barged into my brain fog, gently lifted one confused eyebrow, and whispered, “Luise… sweetheart… it’s time to understand what’s happening to your hormones before you start blaming the Wi‑Fi again.” And goodness, I needed that. Because the other day I tried to explain to a friend why I walked into the kitchen and forgot my own mission, and I literally said, “Well… my brain just took a quick vacation without notifying management.” Classic me. And when I saw “Anxiety, Brain Fog, Broken Sleep, Weight Gain & GLP‑1s,” I felt spiritually attacked in the most educational way. It reminded me of the night I woke up at 3 AM, sweating like a rotisserie chicken, having a full self‑dialogue like, “Luise, calm down.” “I am calm.” “No, you’re vibrating like a phone on silent.” Meanwhile, my communication skills were melting. I once tried to tell someone I was experiencing hormonal shifts and instead said, “My internal thermostat is throwing tantrums.” She nodded slowly like she was talking to a malfunctioning toaster. But your masterclass? Whew, it feels like someone finally turned on the lights in a room I’ve been stumbling through for months. It’s giving clarity, compassion, and that sweet productivity boost I desperately need, because lately I’ve been operating at the speed of a sleepy sloth. So yes, I’m absolutely watching this, notebook in hand, ready to laugh at myself, learn something real, and maybe finally understand why my body keeps behaving like it’s rebooting itself every 45 minutes.

Such an important conversation! Perimenopause can affect sleep, mood, focus, weight, and overall health long before periods stop, yet so many women are not told what’s happening. At the Global Menopause Collective, we’re working to make these changes easier to understand so women feel informed, seen, and better supported.

Yes yes yes yes yes. It starts in the brain. That's is my experience . You are bang on the money and you nailed it with " I don't feel like myself". It's a difficult period but education is key

2 years ago I was going crazy not understanding what was happening to me. I got the hot flushes although considerably mild and inconvenient. What really had me was this feeling in the pit of my stomach that something was physiologically wrong. I didn't even know about peri and wasn't even concerned about menopause because my mom never spoke about hers. OMG, finding Dr. Haver just opened up a plethora of information for me and took me on a journey. I literally felt like Alice in wonderland as I tried to follow the white rabbit. I'm on MHT now and will never be without it. I am just both angry and disappointed that my mother didn't have the opportunity of its benefits due to the WHI. She is on life long SSRI's because she was diagnosed with "clinical depression." I am questioning that now due to the timeframe which would have coincided with her perimenopausal and menopausal years. I have spoken to her about local estradiol and to ask her obgyn about it but tbd...
So thank you, Dr. Haver for kickstarting my personal journey into optimizing my health for the years to come!

I'm 53 and have had so many symptoms but I feel like I'm going crazy! I had my period last month. All of my friends haven't had their period in years and my Mom said she had no symptoms. I feel like I'm in hell!!

The fact that none of my doctors even considered that my recent high bp was partially due to perimenopause makes me crazy. They lecture about weight loss and sodium and sleep apnea, meaning the high bp is my fault. Not to say my weight loss isn’t great for me, but that the hormone change wasn’t even mentioned makes me so frustrated.

When I was in my early forties I told my PCP his I was feeling. In fact I said, “ I don’t recognize myself, I want to put me in a cave. Specifically, around my periods. I feel depressed and irritated.” He prescribed Zoloft 🙄. Never took it. Then my symptoms got worse and my PCP prescribed more Zoloft😂. I am 48 now. Tomorrow I have an appointment to address HTR. I pray this helps me because it’s me but is not me.
