I am not worried about how long I live. I want to feel good no matter how long I live.

My grandparents were 97 and 107… papa died with dementia at 97. Gimma died totally healthy in her sleep 3 weeks shy of 107, mentally intact. I wanna live as long as possible mentally and physically sound!

I had my first cardiologist visit at 40 for palpitations. Clear report. Two more in the following ten years, all clear. During that period also had a colonoscopy done for unexplained bloating and Gastro issues. Sleep issues cropped up. No doctor ever brought up perimenopause! I had to become my own advocate and I’m better today. Videos like these made all the difference. Thank you.

In month 4 of HRT! Dr Haver gave me the solid knowledge I needed to ask for treatment. And it’s getting good again! ❤

Midi tested my vitamin D levels (no other doctor had ever checked). I was at 7! I’m now on a prescription to fix this critical deficiency.

So much of this episode resonated with me and I’ll likely listen a second time. I recently started HRT and feel like I went into my appointment armed with knowledge thanks in part to you. My provider mentioned your books which made me feel more confident in her. Thanks for all you do.

I was horrified that the insurance company for my Medicare drug supplement suggested I should take Alendronate instead of the estradiol patch I have! I’m 74 and I don’t have osteoporosis or osteopenia! In part, I don’t have it because of HRT!

I’m 63 soon to be 64. I sought out HRT at 44 in peri menopause. Went through menopause at 55. All this time feeling like a Guinea pig for HRT because most providers either weren’t a fan or were just learning themselves. So I feel frustrated at this point because I don’t feel that my hormones are protecting me from vascular issues as I’m experiencing high blood pressure and rising cholesterol levels. This concerns me because my father spent 15 horrific years in a nursing facility with Alzheimer’s and was first diagnosed at 64. He and his mother who had dementia in her later years died in the same facility, ironically in the same room. My mother has frail bones and profound hearing loss at 84. So when I finally found someone to give me a .1 mg/ day estradiol patch I suddenly got rid of ear ringing, my blood pressure went down. But unfortunately I started bleeding so now they have lowered my estradiol dose, patted me on the head and said you’re good now, no bleeding. I feel terrible. The ringing in my ears is back and loud. My blood pressure is up, night sweats, waking up at 3 am back. I’m spending so much money for visits, testing, meds. Let’s not forget IF you can call every pharmacy around to find any of the patches at all. My window is closing. I feel it. It is upsetting to have spent 20 years scraping, clawing and all out fighting for what I need, yet still not getting what I know I need. I just got a papsmear with a new gyn to rule out cancer as a cause for the bleeding. But when I showed her my blood work she said I don’t do blood work. It’s how you feel and whether your hot flashes are controlled. Luckily she will not be prescribing my hormones. Also been told by another gynecologist when I was 55 who was visably upset and scolding me for being on HRT that she would not allow me to stay on after 60. Needless to say I went to her that once. It is an absolute travesty that research is not being done, drs aren’t being taught or don’t stay up on research themselves. But I will continue to research myself and keep pushing. As you said it is not just for me. My daughter will know what to do even if I have to be the Guinea pig. Thank you for helping the world with your knowledge! HUGE FAN

I get overly excited listening to dr Haver and prepping myself for perimenopause. I’m 37 and I found dr Haver about a year ago when I had just birthed my daughter and since then I’ve started lifting weights 2-3 times a week, SIT training, jump training, done a DEXA, loads of protein and fiber, prioritizing sleep over everything, I’ve stopped spending money on clothes and beauty stuff and instead spending them on personal trainers, high quality supplements, bloodwork, and the list goes on. Im learning everything I can about HRT and I’m prepping for what’s to come and for the rest of my life ❤️

This whole video was excellent, but the last three minutes mentioned every symptom I have and was ignored by every doctor I’ve had! So sad. Calling a menopause specialist tomorrow.
