  The assistant principal at my first school — my evaluator — told me that I escalate students because I didn’t accept or tolerate disrespectful behavior. He didn’t observe me or ask me what happened to make a student escalate in my room. I was judged just on what 1 student said.

  I'm a former School Bus Driver. Asking a bullying, or angry child what their problem is might work, but consequences are needed, if it doesn't. What I've seen, as a School Bus Driver, is a lot like what Teachers go through. When talking to the child works, that's great! When it doesn't, the child suffers no consequences. Not from the Principal, and not from their parents. Then if I would physically make the child stop bullying others, they would act like a victim, or say "Get off of me!" Most of these bullies had parents who would never blame their kid for misbehavior. The gentle approach might work, on a child who is having a bad day. On bullying children, who keep repeating their bad behavior? No, it doesn't work.

  You said a mouth full with your last point! <br>I’m a T.A. for a Preschool Center and for the students are not acknowledging me. <br><br>I have a couple of students who get very disruptive during nap time. <br><br>I need Registered Behavior Techniques like ASAP!

  I knew how to manage my class before teaching any lessons, by talking to my students first. If they didn&apos;t like another student, they had to explain to me why. That&apos;s how I maintain a quiet managed classroom, because I discussed to correct their behavior by talking.
