  I just figured this out a month or two ago, in Virtua Fighter 3 the gameover voice clips can actually be triggered by losing the match via timeout! Complete with character specific animations.

  If only for completeness' sake, there are two VF games that Khanage didn't mention in this video, not including spin-offs like VF Kids, VF Animation, or Virtua Quest. First would be Virtua Fighter Remix, the updated re-release of VF1 with improved visuals meant to make up for the Saturn launch port's infamously rough quality, which also later saw a PC release; VF Remix on PC was my first VF game, actually. The other, lesser known, game would be VF 4 Final Tuned, the true last update for VF4 that added some new stages & customization options. However, Final Tuned never left the arcades (& I believe was even Japan-exclusive?), so it's immensely forgotten by most people, if they even knew about it in the first place. Sure, VF5R was also arcade-only, but at least the stuff it added in was (by & large) included in Final Showdown.

  Man, that quest mode from 4/Evo was amazing. It was the first time i actually went crazy deep into a fighting game single-player mode. It was so much fun unlocking new arcades and trying to get my rank up. It almost felt like you were fighting "real" human fighters, even though it was basic AI. I forgot how much you could customize your character too, that was a huge improvement over other fighting games at the time.

  &quot;College student&quot; as a job is pretty funny, it&apos;s also pretty interesting that Virtua Fighter 1 was gonna have a Saudi Arabia rep in the form of Majido, honestly all that on VF1 makes me think I should really look into its development more<br><br>Anyways, I hope VF6 is successful for them, though I&apos;ve never played VF at all

  Saw in one of the Virtua fighter 1 concept artwork that they considered adding a sumo wrestler to the game and the design resembled Ganryu.

  Shiba was removed because Yu Suzuki saw Street Fighter II&apos;s Ryu and decided the game needed a more identifiable Japanese representative to be the face of the game. So that&apos;s how Akira Yuki was created, and Shiba given the ax. Yu Suzuki literally told his design team that he wanted a &quot;Ryu Like&quot; character. &nbsp;Akira was literally the last character created, and some of his moveset is lifted from Shiba&apos;s as they didn&apos;t have time to completely animate an entirely new character from scratch.
