  Worth noting that because of Tag 2 bombing financially, the Tekken team over at Bamco had to develop Tekken 7 with a very strict/limited budget, which is why the character models for essentially the first half of the game&apos;s life wasn&apos;t nearly as polished as the previous two games. With that in-mind, I can imagine that the Tekken team was basically in very little position to also give significant amount of dev time to make Tekken X Street Fighter happen, and by the time they can probably do that thanks to Tekken 7&apos;s commercial success, interest in actually working/finishing said project was probably fairly low due to it being nearly a decade after it got announced.<br>All we ended up getting out of the whole deal is Akuma in Tekken 7, a character that basically backported from Tekken X Street Fighter meant to tease for it, and who has also showcased why a game where half the roster having 2D mechanics/movesets in a 3D fighter might not be the best idea. XD

  Btw, just a week ago, a mod for the PC version called &quot;Complete Edition&quot;, which apparently balances the PS3-exclusive characters to be in-line with the 2013 PS3 version and the graphical bugs for the exclusive characters had been fixed, so you don&apos;t have to emulate the game in RPCS3

  I would&apos;ve loved to see how the Street Fighter characters would look in Tekken form and play on the Tekken engine but closest we got to a crossover on Namco part was putting Akuma in Tekken 7 and he&apos;s canon to Tekken lore but I still hope Tekken X Street Fighter still happens in some way it was never stated to be cancelled.
