Years back, after baby number 2, I put on a lot of weight. I was living in a larger body, and yet I became invisible. I would be waiting in line at a supermarket counter, and the assistant would literally ignore me and talk to the person behind. Often, that person would say, "This lady was in front of me." It happened so often that it became the norm. Over time, the weight came off, and I was in a smaller body, and I became visible again. It's quite shocking, and I've never forgotten it.

I'll never understand why this culture allows people to comment on a woman's body. Her body is no one else's business Period.

As a 73 year old woman whose weight has yo-yoed all my life i never got rid of my bigger clothes in case i regained which i did several times. Recently i have lost weight and was putting my big clothes in a bin to save just in case when my husband said what if this time you give them away and if you need bigger ones later just buy them. So i have them bundled up and they are going to the resale shop tomorrow! Maybe if i don't have them to fall back on I'll be more aware of any gain. But people who have never had this battle can't understand the struggle is real

I lost 100 pounds then gained it back. There was a very distinct difference how I was treated by others before and after weight loss. It made me super sensitive to others with a weight problem. I am very attuned to make sure others are included.

I guess this is a ladies' channel. I'm not a lady, but I listened to your story. I can relate quite a bit. I lost 200lbs. naturally. Most interestingly is how you braced for impact about what people would say and the awkwardness of it. I'm such a loner that I rarely cross paths with anyone that I "knew" from once upon a time, but I've had a few people try to downplay how much of an undertaking this journey was for me. Others have been supportive and amazed. I'm excited for life and I hope you are too. Congrats on your evolution~

People saying you’re too thin when you are right-sized and they’ve been thin their whole lives are so confusing.

I just found you. I can relate so much. I’m 59 and on my glp1 journey. It’s different after 50. Most of us over 50 crowd have been trying to lose weight for decades! Decades of discrimination and trauma. New subscriber. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.

I have lost over 50 pounds over this past year (still losing )just naturally without the GLP one, but I recently went shopping and went straight to the plus size department and the attendant came over and after I picked out a dress and said what are you doing here? This isn’t your size come over here. It was so funny and flattering.

It makes so much sense. Invisible. Unseen. Unheard. Lost 35 kilos now those same people look twice. I walk on by.
