Arin is a major advocate of "Show, Don't Tell." While it is inevitable that there will be some telling that will happen since games only got bigger and more complex but that's the challenge to the developers on how creative they are on how to teach people to play their game.

I remember watching this video in literally elementary school. Just me looking up the difference between Classic and X, and it immediately got me to drop 800 Wii Points on Mega Man X after watching it. I hope you give some of the series a shot one day (and check out Mega Man X Corrupted too, it's pretty much Hollow Knight meets Mega Man X and is shaping up to be one of the best fangames ever made)
