FGTH's "Welcome To The Pleasuredome" & "Rage Hard - Young Person's Guide To The 12 Inch Mix", Grace Jones' "Slave To The Rhythm" and Propaganda's "Duel". These are songs I can listen to over and over again. A pure esthetic pleasure. Thank you very much, Mr Lipson.

massive fan of this guys work. his opinions, and workflow ethics, debunking studio myths, laid back approach, attitude. It's no wonder Trevor Horn loved working with him for so many years.

Early 80s electronic music and sound was so legendary, because it was all new. It was up to people (anyone, really) to come up with the strength of each synth or drum machine. Nobody had heard what came out before, so some were able to make unreal music. A very creative period, that did not return until the 1990s.

Annie's "Don't Let Me Down" was a revelation! never heard before, tho fully love it. The vibe is intense, and the approach she takes, launching into 8va Lennon thrust only once, is remarkable. Bass & gtr parts are definitively Brit pop '80s gems - kudos
