I already saw this reaction but watched it again because of the clearly labeled "reuploaded for copyright" title. I appreciate that.

I am 54 years old and this is my favorite movie of all time. This movie tears your heart apart if you are a father. But, I also feel it heals you with hope and an expansive love. There is a massive amount of science and potential quantum physics in this movie (LOVE IT) that pulls an intellectual viewer deeply into so many different thoughts, that you can spend a GARGANTUAN amount of time deciphering these many aspects our universe. I also thoroughly enjoyed your reaction and opinion of this masterpiece in cinema.

Thank you for very clearly labelling it as a re-upload . The word integrity springs to mind.

57:18 This scene breaks me every time when Murph says “because my dad promised me…” It reminds me of the love and trust I have with my father. When I was younger he and I would talk about death and that when he dies he wanted me to know that he always loved me. To never have a doubt or question in my mind. This scene for some reason makes me think about those discussions. My dad could be a hard man at times, at times I was afraid of him, but he was always my best friend.

Of every amazing thing about this movie. The visual appearance of the black hole is probably the most important.

Christopher Nolan collaborated with Nobel Prize winning, theoretical physicist, Kip Thorn, to make sure their concept strictly adhered to Einstein's principle of relativity and gravity, in order to present the most realistic depiction of this phenomenon ever presented in visual media.

In the movie, Gargantua represents a black hole with a mass 100 million times more intense than the gravity of our own sun. So powerful in fact, it bends light so that the accretion disk surrounding it, appears to rise above it like a halo. While in reality, we are just seeing the ring on the other side bent by gravity. Due to the demanding computational power and expense it took to render the appearance of an actual black hole, physicists had never been able to afford to create such a realistic depiction of what it might look like, relying only what they imagined it could be, according to the math. Because of this movie, along with Christopher Nolan's attention to detail, Gargantua's simulation appears onscreen for almost twelve minutes.

Each frame in that sequence took 100 hours to render, with each second of film requiring 24 frames. This means that each second of film showing the black hole, took 2,400 hours to render, with the total render time for the entire sequence requiring 1,728,000 hours, or 72 days to create. The total cost of rendering that scene was reported to be 165 million dollars, meaning it cost approximately 2.3 million dollars per day, to create. Which turned out to be the investment of a lifetime for the scientists advising on the movie.

Because of this movie, and it's accurate depiction of what an actual black hole would look like, the almost 800 terabytes of computational information used to create the simulation, have actually changed theoretical physics by creating entirely new insights into how a black hole looks and behaves, and how that alters long assumed understandings in the scientific community.

So, in reality. This fictional story, quite literally changed the world...

Finally, you watched it. Christopher Nolan and Hans Zimmer chose the pipe organ for the Interstellar soundtrack, an instrument that represented human fragility. Because it breathes air to produce sound like humans do. The ’corn chase’ scene is one of the most beautiful soundtracks ever made.
