The hallway scene was done with a practical effect of rotating the entire hallway

Argument over the last scene has obscured the more important point, which is that Cobb no longer cares whether he is in reality or not.

Two Nolan essentials are "The Prestige" and "Memento."

As someone with an emotionally distant father, the pinwheel scene always makes me AT LEAST teary eyed.

Ken Watanabe’s intensity and screen presence are truly second to none. The awesome voice/accent doesn’t hurt either. The man is a legend just by existing.

The ending scene is real because michael caine confirmed it in an interview that he asked christopher nolan how will michael know which scene is real or dream, and christopher said whenever michael are in the scene, it's real (meaning the top will drop. you also see the top wobble which never happens in dreams)

'Je ne Regrette Rien' sung by Edith Piaf, played to an Oscar-winning level by the actress playing the dead/alive wife.

Inception is such a complex story that it's practically spoiler-proof. Knowing how it ends means very little if you don't know how it got to that point, so paying close attention to the plot and its intricacies is essential.

SKILL CREATION: 28:49 There's a lot that didn't make it into the movie. The one that I wish they did is that you can technically imagine ANYTHING in the dream, any item, any skill, any outcome, but it's best if you imagine what you know or use your own skills. Eames was a soldier originally and that's how he got into the dream-thief business. He can imagine more complex weapons and use his own skills in the fighting which is less burden to imagine.

ALSO 41:42 It looks real because they REALLY did that. They built an entire corridor set that could rotate and filmed it with the camera fixed to a point on the "floor".

This has its place with only a handful of movies that I saw in theater with a memorable crowd reaction. The cut to black at the end was met with SOME kind of vocal reaction by literally everyone. Collective gasps, groans, sharp "WHAT"s. We were SO invested! Hasn't changed, years later.

41:40 They built a rotating hallway for the scene. That's a thing with Nolan, if it can be done practical, he does it.
