The “slow morning” to produce dopamine is brilliant advice!
I have been doing this organically, but no longer have to feel guilty about it!

"Wake up slower"....I've been telling people for a few years now that I'm a diesel not a sports car. It takes me a while to warm up to function. I must wake up at least an hour before I need to kick into high gear and I have a set routine that gets me going and God forbid I'm disrupted....I get so grumpy it ruins my day!

This is a truly useful video. The hacks make so much sense of my recently diagnosed ASD & ADHD. 63 years of masking to “cope” with the world. Years of melt-downs, burnout, being a serial failure and feeling disliked by everyone all makes sense now. This is the first resource I’ve found that isn’t just telling me what ADHD is but also offers practical approaches with living day to day with it. Thank you so much.

I had a problem brushing my teeth, until I started doing it in the kitchen (the room I spend most time in), before I got tired. This requires a little sink clearing usually, cat food tins soaking that need rinsing and draining, pans soaking etc. So it's become a little stacked habit, I also have something on that I'm listening to. As a result of this I brush my teeth more thoroughly and cleat the sink for morning. Sometimes I'll manage to wash my fave. tea mug ready for morning.
I wish I'd learnt about these ADHD traits in my early twenties and so do my teeth.
Thank you so much for raising awareness of these things, as an RSD suffering undiagnosed 55 yr old woman, it has changed my life. I've stopped feeling like a crap human and started the healing journey.
Big loves to everyone here <3

My dentist said “Floss one tooth.” It works!!
My dishwasher hack is to sort them on the countertop, by type and then by where. It has helped so much and it does feel like a gamification.

13:10 While waiting for my microwave / coffee machine / water kettle I like to test how much of stuff can be done in this short time. Like unloading the dish washer, wiping the tables, bringing out the trash. It is a kind of challenge. Really amazing to see how much stuff can be done in just a couple of minutes. And as usual: once you started, you won‘t stop. My kitchen is so much cleaner since I started this

I got this tip from the lady at "A Slob Comes Clean" (she'd be a great guest!) She said to put things away in the 1st place you'd think to look for them. If that's a drawer and it's full, then put them in the 2nd place you'd look for them at. If that's full, you can go to the 3rd place but do not go beyond the 3rd place. That's how we end up buying stuff we already have. This has been a game changer. She also says not to put things where other people think they should be (nail clippers in the bathroom) but the place that makes sense for you (kitchen junk drawer). An interior designer friend was trying to get me to put my vitamins in the bathroom or hall closet. I told her I'd never look for them there (plus heat is bad for them). They stayed in the kitchen cabinet that she wanted to free up for other things. It's my apartment. I have to live here so I need to know where things are!

Seeing someone as successful as you lying on the floor, no matter the reason, is so validating and relatable 😅. It shows that even people who "have their sh*t together" cope with emotional struggles in similar ways. It reminds me I'm not weak or immature for lying on the floor to self-regulate sometimes. Thanks for sharing! Seriously, thank you.
